A time for young learners to test ideas, solve problems, develop trust, and build relationships with peers and teachers. This is a critical time in the child’s development when play and creativity need to be supported.

In addition, Social and Emotional Learning plays a big role in our Early Childhood curriculum. At Colegio Americano, we follow the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines developed by the Texas Education Agency in addition to U.S. Common Core Standards.
Our Early Childhood program begins at a Nursery level leading up to Kindergarten where we prepare our students and parents for a smooth transition to Elementary

Starting with basic vocabulary and language, our students learn about math, reading, writing, values, and nature as they practice motor skills by doing creative projects, game activities, songs, and dance activities.
