We believe that success should not be measured by avoiding mistakes but on a foundation of trust build on understanding the reasons for errors and the teacher’s role in supporting the student through them. We focus on learning from mistakes. Instead of fearing mistakes, we view them as opportunities for students to learn. At Colegio Americano we move away from rote memorization. Education should focus on helping students develop critical thinking skills and a love of learning, not just memorizing facts for tests.
Our purpose is to educate to awaken and liberate. One instructs with what one knows, one educates with soul.
